Ecolococo is a movie by Julien Roure. It allows a wide range of mountain users (sports enthusiast, glaciologist, hunter, hermit, ski school director and riders) to voice their opinions.
The tone is fresh and direct without heavy emphasis on morals. Everyone speaks freely and frankly on critical issues, like the paradox between mountain preservation (ecology) and its dependence on tourism (economy).
Between 2 awesome sequence shots, Julien reminds us of the eco-riders duty; especially the value of this precious commodity and the satisfaction we gain by climbing a mountain, using our own efforts, enjoying both the exhilaration of the climb and the sense of achievement on reaching the summit, whilst preserving the values of Freeriding without being impeded upon by technology.
Ecolococo is completely ‘homemade’. Julien made the film with his own money, in his free time. It was made entirely in the spirit of free-ride - taking your time to enjoy every moment, without wasting a single second.
The film was made using biodegradeable materials, without artificial colours and without kerosene.
