What does being part of the Picture family represent to you?
I couldn’t be more excited to join a community that I really believe in. While the future of our planet is at stake, it feels unacceptable to do anything less than our best to fight for it, and Picture is doing just that. From developing sustainable materials and production to spreading awareness and education, the Picture family is an inspiration and I am so thrilled to be a part of it.
Tell us, how did you start skiing?
I started skiing at age 2 with a pacifier dangling from my mouth. My mom was really into skiing and got me started at a young age. Not too much later, I joined the local ski club and began racing, which became my primary focus until I discovered backcountry skiing and big mountains after high school. My world has revolved around skiing in some capacity as long as I can remember, the specificities have just evolved over time.
What are your future plans and ambitions?
Continue to pursue human-powered adventures in the mountains and hopefully create access for others to do the same.
What is your best skiing memory?
It is hard to pick just one, but skiing in the Wind River Range (a remote mountain range in central Wyoming) last spring is pretty high on the list. The terrain is remote and wild, the conditions were excellent, and I got to spend a week in the backcountry skiing with my best friends.
What other activities do you do in the outdoors?
I like to rock climb, ride my mountain bike, and trail run or nordic ski with my dog.
